ARCHICAD 23 and BIMx win AIA ‘Best of Show’ awards
BUDAPEST, June 27, 2019 – GRAPHISOFT, the leading Building Information Modeling software solution for architects and designers, has been recognized with two Best of Show awards in the BIM and Innovation categories by Architosh, a leading online publication dedicated to CAD/BIM/AEC software professionals and students. The awards were announced based on software and technology that was exhibited at this year’s AIA National Convention in Las Vegas, Nevada, June 6-7.
In the BIM category, Architosh editor Anthony Frausto-Robledo, AIA, LEED AP, recognized the innovations that make GRAPHISOFT’s award-winning software the leader in BIM software solutions. “Architects on ARCHICAD 23 will gain a substantial computational design ecosystem from the world of Rhino-Grasshopper, with world-class analysis tools and much more,” said Anthony Frausto-Robledo. “This may help more architects embrace computational design and the many benefits that come with it,” he added.
In the Innovation category, GRAPHISOFT was recognized for its next-gen BIMx engine. “Seeing BIMx’s patented dynamic drawings-to-BIM-model section technology working on the web browser was exciting. As mentioned when BIMx was first introduced years ago, it makes the relationship between drawings and BIM models extremely tangible,” said Anthony Frausto-Robledo. “BIMx in the browser will also support game console controller support; it massively democratizes BIM while simultaneously supporting game-ification features that make the experience of interacting with BIM models very charming and engaging.”
“We are proud to be recognized by AEC technology analysts,” said Akos Pfemeter, Vice President for Global Marketing at GRAPHISOFT. “We value their feedback as it helps us continue to do what we do best: develop best-in-class software solutions for architects and designers.”
The BEST of SHOW awards are designed to recognize the most interesting and promising technologies making an impact on architectural practice in the United States and globally.
