ARCHICAD BIM COMPETITION – A MEANINGFUL 10 YEAR JOURNEY
The Archicad BIM Competition 2024 has officially ended with a thrilling final round taking place on June 28, 2024, at Hall A106, University of Architecture Ho Chi Minh City. After a journey of more than 3 months of competition, the 10 best teams gathered to compete, bringing unique ideas and impressive and convincing presentations.
With the theme “Capacity Development Support & Consulting Center”, the Archicad BIM Competition 2024 attracted a large number of students to participate, demonstrating their creativity and ability to apply Archicad BIM in practice. The competing teams designed a BIM model for the consulting center project, demonstrating their creativity, ability to apply BIM in practice and meeting functional, aesthetic and technical requirements.
The final result, The Three Musketeers team with 3 members Tran Quang Huy, Truong Thien An, Nguyen Minh Phu from University of Architecture Ho Chi Minh City has excellently become the Champion of the Archicad BIM 2024 competition season with the project “QUY HOA VILLAGE”. The team’s project conquered the jury from idea to effective Archicad BIM application and impressive presentation ability.
Behind The Three Musketeers team with an extremely close score, this year’s runner-up belongs to the archiKAD team from University of Architecture Ho Chi Minh City including 3 members: Dang Duy Khoa, Huynh Truc Anh, Nguyen Tran Manh Dan with “CompOnion – DONG HANH” project.
Standing in third place among the best groups is team D.M.N, from University of Architecture Ho Chi Minh City, including members: Nguyen Tran Tien Dat, Le Doan Man, Tran To Dang Ngoc with the project “HOA DO TREN CAO”.
In particular, to celebrate the 10th anniversary of this year’s Archicad BIM Competition, the special award “Khoanh khac an tuong” belongs to the NTH Team with members Lam My Tran, Nguyen Pham Kim Ngan, Trinh Gia Hao.
Notably, this year’s Top 3 finalists all belong to competition groups from University of Architecture Ho Chi Minh City (UAH). In addition, teams from Vietnamese-German University (VGU) and Hanoi University of Civil Engineering (HUCE) also made a strong impression with outstanding projects. This result not only confirms the training quality of leading universities but also opens up new development prospects for the Vietnamese architecture and construction industry.
Present in the Top 10 excellent teams this year are: The Three Musketeers (UAH), archiKAD (UAH), Đ.M.N (UAH), LTB (UAH), DNS (UAH), TERRA FIRMA (UAH), NTH Team (UAH), MNQ (UAH), OI234 (HUCE), 15m2 (VGU). This year, the competition teams brought many quality projects from ideas to how to handle the requirements of the topic and how to apply Archicad to their projects.
On the journey to conquer knowledge, effort and perseverance are indispensable. Overcoming the long geographical distance and tight study schedule, despite many difficulties and limited time, with the spirit of eagerness to learn and their best efforts, the groups excelled and delivered great lessons. Participate in excellent competitions and convince the judges.
